Virginia Tech Advantage is the university’s commitment to expanding access, reducing financial barriers, and supporting student success.
The initiative strengthens resources that benefit all students – including support for basic needs, access to internships and research, and opportunities like study abroad. It also provides scholarships for Virginia undergraduate students with financial need, helping more students participate fully in the Virginia Tech experience.

How do I apply?
To be considered for scholarships and financial aid, simply submit your application for admission – as you normally would – along with the FAFSA and the Virginia Tech General Scholarship Application by the published deadlines.

- Feb. 15: Early Action decisions released
- March 1: FAFSA priority deadline for full consideration
