Scholarship support from Virginia Tech Advantage
Virginia Tech Advantage provides additional scholarships and financial aid so that in-state undergraduates have the time to expand their learning opportunities, build confidence, and prepare for life after graduation.
To be considered for scholarships and financial aid:
Prospective students will fill out the Common App, the FAFSA, and the university’s General Scholarship Application. Visit the University Scholarships and Financial Aid website to learn more.
Current students will apply directly through Scholarship Central and complete the FAFSA annually. Learn more on the University Scholarships and Financial Aid website.
Out-of-state students can follow the same steps to become eligible for scholarships and financial aid.
Behind the scenes, we’ll keep working to offer more financial resources to in-state undergraduates. One goal of Virginia Tech Advantage is to double the size of the Presidential Scholarship Initiative. The competitive, renewable, four-year scholarship for in-state students offers a comprehensive academic and social support community.
In FY25 we continued reducing the average total costs for Virginia Tech Advantage students, and we surpassed our annual fundraising goal for the initiative — with most of the money going to scholarships.
