Hokie Focus Parking

Note: There is a different parking location for the Hokie Focus session on Saturday afternoon than the two morning sessions of Hokie Focus. All details below are also included in your confirmation emails. We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes ahead of your session to provide ample time for parking and navigating to your first session. There are very limited visitor parking spaces available directly across from Burruss Hall, so we highly suggest using the recommended parking instructions for the Hokie Focus event you are signed up for.

Saturday and Sunday Morning Sessions
Parking is available in the Perry Street Parking Garage. Once you have parked, follow the Admissions Event Check-In signs to Bishop-Favrao Hall, located across the street from Perry Street Parking Garage. Additional information will be included in emails leading up to the event. Click here for detailed directions to campus.

Saturday Afternoon Session
Parking is available in Lot 1, located at 753 Washington Street SW. We will send you a parking pass at least 48 hours before the event for you to show the parking attendant. Once you have parked, follow our Admissions Event Check-In signs to Cassell Coliseum, located across the street from the parking lot, for check-in. Additional information will be included in emails leading up to the event.

In case of a full lot, overflow parking will be available at Lane Stadium, located at 185 Beamer Way.

ADA Parking and Burruss Access
Regardless of the session you sign up for, parking for guests with disabilities is available on Old Turner Street. You must display a disabled parking license plate or hangtag from the DMV to park in this area. For this parking lot, use your GPS to navigate to Lavery Hall (430 Old Turner Street). Parking will be available in this lot and signage will also be there to provide accurate directions.

An accessible entrance to Burruss Hall is available from this parking location at the end of Old Turner Street. An admissions staff member will also reach out ahead of the event if accommodations were noted in the registration form to ensure that you will have all the information you need to navigate campus.

Parking Pointers

You can park in almost any parking place on the weekends, with the following exceptions:

  • metered parking spaces at the University Bookstore (meters elsewhere on campus are generally not enforced on weekends)
  • parking lots marked 24-hour faculty and staff (F/S 24-hour)
  • a designated ADA parking space without a permit
