Associate Director, Alumni and Corporate Engagement

Gina works to engage our alumni and corporate partners with the incredible work and research happening in and through Virginia Tech. Through forging pathways and creating experiences, she is able to connect alumni to Virginia Tech’s career resources and dynamic opportunities throughout various industries. She can find unique and creative ways to engage individuals both personally and through their organization with Virginia Tech’s incredible talent and resources. Gina will continue the incredible work of uplifting Innovation and Partnerships Women in Industry program which is dedicated to showcasing the talent, insight, and world-changing contributions of Hokie women everywhere.

Gina loves using efficiency, creativity, and strengths to solve problems and finding opportunities for connection and meaningful engagement. A day full of those opportunities is a day well spent. This translates into her personal life as well because she loves buying gifts for people and picking out just the right one! A colleague once called it her superpower.

Tamburro holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Religion from Anderson University
