Educational Training and Curriculum
Virginia Tech is committed to being a leader in interdisciplinary quantum education.
Recognizing workforce development as a critical next step for the field, the Virginia Tech Quantum Collaboratory has been assembled to develop a strategic plan focused on the growth and health of quantum research and education. The collaboratory has outlined several goals to attract additional faculty collaborators and develop degrees in key quantum disciplines.

- Interdisciplinary Minor in Quantum Information Science and Engineering, departments involved Physics, Chemistry, Math, CS, ECE, MSE, CMDA
- Master's in Quantum Engineering led by ECE
Upcoming Events
10th Molecular Quantum Mechanics conference
June 26 to July 1, 2022
The international conference is held every three years, with the 2019 meeting being held in Heidelberg, Germany. Additional past hosts include the University of Cambridge, the University of California, Berkeley, and Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Each meeting honors the scientific achievements of one or more pioneers in the field of molecular quantum mechanics.
