Student Life
What is Virginia Tech really like? Meet some actual VT students, peruse the places you can live, and more.
Over 600 Student Clubs & Organizations
Whether you're looking for greek life or robot wars, there's a club for you. And hey, it only takes three people to start your own.
Students Like You, Only Different
You won't find one type of person or one point of view that represents the school. Virginia Tech is all of us. Best to hear it for yourself...
Life in Blacksburg
Virginia's largest town has gracefully outgrown its "sleepy little" moniker. Yet in the face of its ongoing evolution, Blacksburg always manages to retain its charm — and excitement — in spades. In other words, life in this classic college town just keeps getting better.
Living On Campus
One of the greatest advantages of living on campus is meeting new people.
At Virginia Tech, you will be part of the 8,900+ member community that calls our residence halls home. And nobody provides housing closer to campus than we do!
Living Off Campus
Moving off campus offers greater access to town facilities, more opportunities to use personal transportation, and a greater sense of self-reliance.

Workshop Production: "The Levee" by Taylor MacBowyer and "That Midnight Rodeo" by Mary Sue Price
In "The Levee," it is 2 am when Paige crashes through the kitchen door drunk, discovering her husband Keith, fixing the sink. Paige has had multiple miscarriages and has learned today that she is finally pregnant again, with a girl. Will this one take? Does she even want to keep trying? Can their marriage survive what feels like repeated 'failures'? This play is short, about 15 minutes.
In "That Midnight Rodeo," Cindy, the national contender for the barrel racing championship at the National Finals Rodeo, is pregnant. It is early morning, and Cindy is about to leave for her doctor's appointment to have an abortion. But the decision isn't an easy one as conflict remains between Cindy and her husband Bo. This is also a short play, about 10-15 minutes. Directed by 1st-year M.F.A. candidate Dorothy Cosby Atkinson.
