Virginia Tech envisions the arts as a deeply embedded and highly valued part of life on campus, and wherever Virginia Tech students, alumni, family, and friends live and work in the world. As the centerpiece of a comprehensive Arts Initiative at Virginia Tech, the Center for the Arts will be central to reaching the university's goal to increase the presence and practice of the arts on campus and across the communities we serve.

The university held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Center for the Arts on June 21, 2010 on the Shultz Lawn.
