Virginia Tech distinguishes itself from other universities through many unique elements across campus.

Buildings are clad in Hokie Stone, the signature limestone that comes from the university's own quarry.

The campus has a rich natural environment, as seen at the Duck Pond and in the colorful mountains that border campus.

An oval-shaped stretch of grass surrounded by trees, the Drillfield is the center of campus and is often full of students playing games and studying.
